Southern California horse ranch is seeking a dependable Assistant Horse Trainer. This family-owned, 56 acre horse farm is seeking a passionate and self-motivated person to join their team.
Responsibilities would include:
-Everyday care of a herd of world champion miniature horses and 10-15 full size horses
-Grooming, medicating, turnouts, and training with guidance from head trainer
-Assist with young horse development through conditioning
-M-F 8-5pm, some weekends and would require traveling to shows during show season
They compete with their miniature horses through the World level and also show hunters. Training methods used are natural horsemanship based on Ray Hunt & Tom Dorrance. Previous experience with these methods are a huge plus. No housing available at this time so reliable transportation will be needed. Applicant must be 18 years or older and legal to work in the U.S.
