The Replacement Manager reports to the Dairy Operations Manager and directs the activities in the baby calves in the hutches, grouped growing calves, and breeding heifers. He/she develops protocols (approved by the Dairy Operations Manager) for animal and worker activities for calving animals, baby calf feeding and management and heifer movements and breeding. He/she trains staff members, manages them, monitors results and reports results to the Dairy Operations Manager frequently (at least monthly). He/she works with breeders to maximize pregnancy rate in heifers and works with feeders to ensure feeding procedures to maximize daily gain and meet growth stature goals at calving.
Qualifications:
* Some basic dairy or livestock experience
* Computer skills including excel, word, etc. and willingness to learn the herd management software program and feed program
* Passion to work in the dairy industry
* Willingness to learn and be educated from others
* Ability to oversee multiple employees
* Ability to work as a part of the management team
* Perform tasks efficiently and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
* Bilingual in English and Spanish, but not required
