Good Farms is a nationally recognized operation, raising high quality, breed specific heritage pork. Our pigs are marketed to a company based in New York who serves the high quality restaurant and meat curing business. Occasionally host chefs from some of the nations top restaurants. Seeking full-time person to assist our farrow to finish operation. You will not be stuck in a confinement environment. Variety of work is guaranteed. All phases of farrow to finish. Feed processing, pig delivery.
Craig and Amy Good’s Farm is located in Pottawatomie County, Kansas, near Olsburg. They have a diversified farming operation that includes pure bred Angus cattle, Duroc and Gloucestershire Old Spot hogs plus corn, soybeans and wheat.
Qualifications:
We need a trustworthy, person that is willing to work and learn from a family that has a lifetime of successful production of high quality pork. Experience with raising pigs, preferred but someone with a strong interest in pork production is essential. Attention to detail and giving extra effort in animal care is necessary. Tractor and machinery operation needed. Mechanical, plumbing or carpentry skills a plus. Pickup and stock trailer operation needed. We can train many skills on the job.
